Dr. David Samadi, known for his expertise in urology and robotic surgery, is continuing his commitment to the public awareness of health issues with a weekly program. “Sunday Housecall with Dr. Samadi” can be seen starting at 12:30 p.m., Eastern time, on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube Live or on the website Dr.SamadiTV.com.
“Sunday Housecall With Dr. Samadi” is actually a resurrection of a show broadcast for five years on the Fox News Channel. The new program will feature guests from the medical and public health fields who will discuss issues that should be of interest to both men and women. Their topics will include the importance of exercise and good dietary practices, common diseases that affect humans and, of course, prostate health.
Providing the highest level of information, the medical and health experts who appear on the show may have written books or have extensive knowledge in certain areas, or may have developed health products. Viewers will be given the unique opportunity to question Dr. Samadi and his guests, either by telephone or email, during or after the show.
Board-certified, Dr. David Samadi specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the human urological system, including such disorders as cancer of bladder and of the prostate gland. He is also a specialist in advanced treatment procedures that specifically target prostate cancer.
Originally from Iran, Dr. Samadi lived was and educated in Belgium and England before coming to the United States. He received his medical degree from the Story Brook School of Medicine in 1994 and completed his postgraduate training at the Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He would later complete a fellowship in radical robotic prostate surgery in France. Returning to New York, he joined the medical staff at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in 2007 and would later become the vice chairman of the Department of Urology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Samadi and his team would in 2013 transfer their robotic surgery operation to Lenox Hospital, also in New York, where he would serve as both the chairman of the urology department and head of the facility’s robotic surgery division.
Dr. David Samadi has dedicated his career to prostate cancer issues, including early detection and proper treatment of the disease.
